Description


This Edison Diamond Disc was never issued commercially. It was a 1924 Holiday Greeting to Edison Phonograph dealers and features one of the few recordings of Thomas Edison’s own voice. It is very rare.

 

This is a vertical cut diamond disc and will not play on conventional 78 rpm phonographs like the Victrola. It will play on a modern electric phonograph with a diamond needle running at 78 rpm. This record was made to run at 80 rpm and was made for Edison Diamond Disc Phonographs.

 

The label is very worn, but the record itself is in playable condition. See the photographs for details.

 

I am opening the bidding at a low $25, with no reserve, due to the condition of the labels.
