Description

Edwin Johnson – ‘Ain’t That Enough To Make A Man Cry’ / ‘Our Love Will Grow’ – Post 1 (US)

Two brilliant tunes, one a dancer, one deep soul, from this obscure singer (who may or may not be the same artist that recorded ‘You Gave Me Love’ with the Mellow Fellows, and, as Eddie Johnson, ‘Mis-Ter Night’, both for Candi in Wilmington, Delaware). This disc has “NOLA Sound” etched in the run-out grooves, so was most likely cut in New Orleans. Wonderful and very rare, in any case. Beautiful copy, too, played less than a handful of times.

Condition: VG+ or thereabouts, the flip slightly below that grade perhaps; about as good as these sturdy pressings on small labels from the early 1960s get (please listen to the clips). Clean labels (please see scans).

Please send payment via Paypal; payment is expected within five days. Will not be held responsible for uninsured parcels.

Shipping 1-2 singles: USD $8.00 to European destinations; USD $10.00 to the rest of the world. Shipping 3-5 singles: $11.50 to Europe; $13.00 to the rest of the world. Registered and insured shipping (with a tracking number) is an additional USD $11.00 per parcel to cover a total value not exceeding $80.00. The additional charge for registered and insured shipping covering a total value of up to circa $1,500.00, which is the maximum, is USD $16.00. Please get in touch for further combined shipping rates.

American bidders, kindly note that shipping to the US is not US $4.00; this is eBay’s default setting and not applicable as I am based in Sweden. Please wait for my invoice. Thank you!

Happy to answer any questions. Please see my other auctions with many rare soul items this week.

Thanks for looking and good luck!
