Description
The first of three albums recorded by Egg. This one, which I purchased brand new in 1970 was simply titled Egg and was originally recorded in 1969 and 1970. Symphony No. 2 is the main item on side 2 but due to copyright difficulties the Third Movement had to be omitted. Hence the sticker that had to be overlaid on the back cover with the revised track listing. The Third Movement was re-instated for the re-mastered CD release in 2008. Also I expect to put the second and third Egg vinyl LPs, The Polite Force and The Civil Surface respectively, up for sale on Ebay on the evening of Friday 02 September.
The LP has been cleaned, played and checked for sound quality on a Pro-Ject turntable with an ADC cartridge. Both sides are visually very good while the sound quality is also very good throughout. The only audible defects heard were a couple of subtle clicks during track A3 and one subtle click during track B1c.

Side 2 is stamped ZAL-9410.P-2W
The original inner sleeve is in average condition - the sleeve’s inner poly liner is starting to separate from the paper outer plus there are a number of creases and some discolouration around the edges. The outer cover, which includes the Mono/Stereo indicator cutout and sticker overlay required for the missing Third Movement on the back is also in average condition - it has some creasing and scuff marks on the front while the back is showing it’s age with numerous signs of wear.
The LP will be shipped via Royal Mail’s Special Delivery service in a stiff cardboard LP mailing carton.
