V/A - Eight Songs For Greg Sage And The Wipers - 7" box set

I am thinning out some of the duplicates from my record collection...this one is a tribute to Greg Sage and his band the Wipers, in the form of a limited edition 7" box set that includes Nirvana, Poison Idea, Dharma Bums, Crackerbash, Hole, The Whirlees, Napalm Beach and M-99.
The Wipers were the true Godfathers Of Grunge, a criminally underappreciated Killed By Death band whose '70s punk work fits perfectly alongside the best of the '90s grunge explosion. In fact, the Wipers' sound and lyrical style were so ahead of their time, they could easily have been passed off as new material almost two decades after being recorded. Championed by Kurt Cobain (whose band recorded two Wipers tunes: "D-7" was included on both Nirvana's Hormoaning EP and their "Smells Like Teen Spirit" single, while "Return of the Rat" appears on this tribute), the Wipers finally started to get their due. Skip ahead another couple of decades and the first three Wipers records are now recognized as "must-have" material. A wall of Wipers reissues were featured prominently in the hipster barf TV show, Portlandia.
CONDITION: vinyl records are all new (unplayed). However, the box that houses them shows a bit of wear from being in a record store for a few years and has a dent in the bottom right corner. [SEE PICS]

GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS:
M (mint) Record is new, shiny, never played.
NM (near mint) Record is like new, probably played a few times, but it doesn't effect the quality of a sound.
EX (excellent) Record in great shape, may have light marks, played more than a few times but low in surface noise or no surface noise.
VG+ (very good plus) Record has been played more times, it has more marks and surface noise, it doesn't skip.
VG (very good) Record has been played many times, may be more surface noise, but it shouldn't skip while playing.
G (good) Record is in bad condition, this is worth only for archive items - just to have that until you find a better copy
