Latin rock, garage, psych, Peruvian band from 1971

Ultra rare, vintage, Latin psych- rock recording from Peru. This record, originally released in 1971, and up to now, is one of the essential rock recordings coming from Peru and maybe even from whole South America. El Alamo played genuine psych rock with nice fuzz guitars. Vocals are mostly in English. The original vinyl is rather expensive and very sought after, so this 180 grams audiophile quality reissue offers a good value with the original, very beautiful, gatefold artwork and re-mastered sound. This especial reissue, made in USA, with virgin 180 grams vinyl, will sound and looks better than the original.

El Alamo was one of the very first progressive psychedelic rock bands from South America.. They released one album entitled “Malos Pensamientos” in 1971. Described as "sunshine psych” in the Creation of Sunlight/ Frederic vein, the sound is more like 1967 than 71, with a definite Santana edge to some of the cuts, and strong blues foundation.
