ROSALÍA El Mal Querer 2018 Sony 1st Press w/Booklet Bagdad Justin Timberlake NM
El Mal Querer is Rosalía's second studio album, an 11-chapter concept record loosely inspired by the medieval Occitan novel Flamenca, built around a narrative of jealousy, control, and liberation.
The record fuses traditional flamenco with contemporary R&B and pop production, and became Rosalía's commercial and critical breakthrough — the lead single "Malamente" introduced her to a global audience, and the album went on to win the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year. Track "Bagdad" was co-written by Justin Timberlake alongside Timbaland and Scott Storch.
This is the original Spanish pressing on Sony Music, catalog 19075887971, manufactured by GZ Media. To date it remains the only vinyl edition El Mal Querer has ever had — no reissues or color variants exist for this title.
Mastered by Chris Athens, who won the Latin Grammy for Best Engineered Album for this title. Athens also holds Grammy nominations for Album of the Year and Record of the Year for his work with Drake on Views, Scorpion, and God's Plan.
El Mal Querer was produced by Rosalía alongside Pablo Díaz-Reixa, known professionally as El Guincho.
The gatefold jacket and labels both carry the album's signature cloud-and-gold-rope-chain artwork, photographed by Filip Custic. Side labels are marked simply A and B.
This copy includes the original 12 by 12 inch lyric and photo booklet along with the original inner sleeve.
