Description
This is a double vinyl record of Electric Ladyland by The Jimi Hendrix Experience, released in 1968.
The album features studio recordings with a mix of hard rock, psychedelic/garage, pop, rock and blues genres. The vinyl material is in very good (VG) condition (with very light surface scratching- see pics).
The sleeve grading at very good plus (VG+), with slight cracking on spine due to reverse folding (apparently quite common- see pics).
According to guru 'Jeff Gold' the matrix number on the label is printed upside down - making it an early pressing??, the original text was white with the 2 smaller photographs of Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding, which this copy has (see pics).
Pressing order:
1. White type/smaller photos 2. Blue type/larger photos 3. White type/smaller photos (with a bit of blue) 4. White type/smaller photos (same as no.1) 5. Polydor reissue - white type/smaller photos
As a non-collector and someone trying to sell a deceased friends loved and played record collection that is about all I can tell you from my limited knowledge, with 5 hours of research in an attempt to be as accurate as possible. There are no best offers, item is auction only and I hope a collector who appreciates the artwork and the music is successful in bidding for this item.
