Description

Here I’m offering the last of my Guided by Voices bundles: a collection of 11 seven-inch vinyl singles -- all with non-CD B-sides -- plus the six-track vinyl EP Down by the Racetrack.

These are all from the “classic” lineup that reunited in 2012.

The winner will receive:

“Class Clown Spots A UFO” b/w “Message from the Moon” + “Worm W/7”

Down by the Racetrack EP (“It Travels Faster Through Thin Hair” + “Pictures of the Man” + “Amanda Gray” b/w “Standing in a Puddle of Flesh” + “Copy Zero” + “Down by the Racetrack”)

“Everywhere is Miles from Everywhere” b/w “The World’s Getting Smaller”

“Flunky Minnows” b/w “Jellypop Smiles”

“Hangover Child” b/w “Urchin Promise”

“Islands (She Talks in Rainbows)” b/w “She Wore Blure and Green” + “Full Framed Luberon”

“Jon the Croc” b/w “Breathing”

“Keep It In Motion” b/w “White World” + “Pink Wings”

“Noble Insect” b/w “Waves of Gray” + “See You Soon”

“Trash Can Full of Nails” b/w “Build A Bigger Iceberg”

“White Flag” b/w “Casino Model” + “Zebra Film Negative”

“Xeno Pariah” b/w “Little Jimmy The Giant”

I’ll also throw in the Hermit Thrushes single “What Happened to Your Hand” b/w/ “Bone and Shell.” (This was sent to me with an order of the GbV singles -- presumably as a freebie.)

None of them have been played, all come with picture sleeves and five with unused-by-me codes for a free digital download. (These were limited to 1,000 and may have been used up -- just so you know.)

Contact: Please write if you have questions. I work at home and should typically be able to respond in minutes during the day -- with a potentially somewhat longer delay at other times.

Payment: By PayPal only -- within three days, please.

This can be extended to a total of seven days by prearrangement with me if you are planning to bid on multiple items.

If I don’t hear from you within five days of your auction’s end, I’ll open a case with eBay early on the sixth.

Shipping: Unless otherwise noted in the listing, the buyer pays for all shipping-related expenses. But I’ll keep things as inexpensive for you as I can.

I don’t charge a “handling” fee or per-item shipping charges. Whenever possible, I’ll recycle packing materials we already have in the house.

Within the US, I’ll use media mail whenever possible to hold down the cost. When shipping overseas, I’ll use the economical First-Class International whenever possible. (However, note that this can only be used for parcels of up to four pounds.)

And I’ll combine shipping at actual cost for bidders who win more than one item. I would ask that those bidders 1) drop me a note after the first win to let me know you’re continuing to bid and 2) when you’re done bidding, request and then wait for an invoice.

However, that said, please note that, if I have to buy a suitable box or mailer, that will appear as an additional charge on your invoice. This hasn’t happened yet, but we’ve been sending out a lot of stuff for the last couple of months and I can’t exclude the possibility.

If I receive your payment by early afternoon, I will make every effort to get your purchase in the mail the same day -- the next day (including Saturday) or business day if I can’t.

Feedback: I leave feedback on notification of payment. Please do so for me on receipt if you are satisfied with your purchase.

And please write to me first if you aren’t satisfied. I want people to be happy with what they receive and, if something’s amiss, I will do my best to quickly make it right.

My other listings: Check back regularly. I update this section every day. And I’m adding new items just as often: CDs, records, DVDs and now magazines and games. I’ll be at this major spring-cleaning for a good while yet.

Bidding/shipping should be worldwide on everything except the DVDs. If you find yourself blocked from bidding, please alert me.

CDs/records: I’m paring down my collection significantly for a possible move. Every day I seem to find new things that I can live without and there’s a decent sized stack of CDs and a smaller one of vinyl remaining. I’ll be listing several items every day for at least a few more days -- some as seven-day auctions and a few as 10.

Today, I’m listing the last of my Guided by Voices bundles; Cotton Mather’s “Hotel Baltimore” EP; all three of the FLCL soundtrack CDs by Japan’s The Pillows; the deluxe 30th anniversary edition of Elton John’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road; and the Move’s “Flowers in the Rain” EP.

And by the way: There’s a big CD bundle in the works. I’ll list it once the other CD auctions have run their course.

DVDs: Almost done. But I’m taking a short hiatus from the daily DVD listings to prepare two big ones. Look for these and also a straggler or two to start appearing around the middle of the week.

With the exception of non-“Region 1” DVDs, shipping for DVDs is limited to the US and Canada -- mainly to head off potential problems with incompatible players. I’m not averse to opening these auctions up to bidders from other regions, but, if you live in one, please write to me before bidding.

Print: Today, I’m listing a bundle of 10 issues of Mademoiselle magazine: one from 1939, eight from 1942 and one from 1953.

Games: Most of the game auctions are down the road a bit, but I’m starting them up now for those platforms on which I only have a game or two.

Today, I’m listing a Super Famicom version of Wizardry V: Heart of the Maelstrom.

Coming soon: a TEAC A3440 four-track reel-to-reel, a TASCAM US-122 midi interface, a portable DVD player, a sealed 1200-watt PC power supply, digital iPod speakers and a huge and varied trove of video and computer games and games hardware.
