Description
Firstly, I’d like to apologise to ebayers for not taking these near-mint condition records out of their sleeves and photographing them on the carpet like everybody else does.
Nor will I be grading them according to some internationally recognised system supposedly hammered out by the United Nations, under which damaged records are still worth selling.
This BOXED SET of Ella Fitzgerald sings George and Ira Gershwin (ALL FIVE ALBUMS) is in close to new condition.
The box itself is close to perfect. (Incidentally - that really is the cover of the box, the picture of the alarm clock. The credits are on the back.)
These are French Verve pressings from 1982 (about as good as they get).
I have played each side once on a Rega Planar 2 tracking at 1.75g and they are virtually flawless. I have NOT run a nice dusty brush all over them and ruined them – but I have put them into poly lined inner sleeves.
In view of their value, I have put a minimum on this sale, which I hope you will understand. I certainly don’t expect what some other sellers (of individual discs!) seem to be asking.
They weigh exactly 1kg and international postage will be costed accordingly.
UK postage without insurance is £4.50.
Be aware that I will have to invoice overseas buyers for additional postage costs. I will have these to hand by the end of the auction.
