Description:Up for your consideration is the next in a series of unique Lps, this one featuring Elliott Smith.

Several unique things about this item: Firstly, this disc retains the original shine with a few very light marks grading by sight in normal room light. I'm sure if you took this and put it under a 1000 watt bulb, you'd probably find something that makes it less than mint. If you're that kind of collector, and after a recent unpleasant experience with a buyer from Malaysia, let me suggest this auction is not for you.

I don't claim this record is mint. Based on past experience and visual examination, I'd expect the tracks to audibly average at least half way between VG+(excellent) and Near Mint.

If you want an audio grade of an entire record before bidding, no problem, just drop me a note well in advance of the end of auction. Keep in mind how it plays for me may differ how it plays for you based on differences in audio equipment.

If an audio grade is given, you can assign your own grade based on my comments and the scale shown below.

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3), NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s).

Here is a summary of the record(s):

Artist: Elliott Smith Title: XO Record: Black vinyl with the original shine and a few very light imperfections grading by sight in normal room light. Labels: Black/white with white/black print. No stickers, no pen/pencil marks, a few spindle marks. Some short center hole crinkles. Trailing wax: Side 1: "BL 35A ELLIOTT SMITH XO Side A RE 1 BL". Side 2: "BL 35B ELLIOTT SMITH XO Side B RE 1". Inner sleeves: A generic, white sleeve in fine shape. Cover: Still in shrink wrap. The shrink wrap is broken along the edge where the record comes out and is split to about half way along the bottom, a few inches along the top. It is also tattered along the bottom edge, centered, about 1". There appears to be a small portion of the shrink missing from the upper outer corner. There is still the Limited Edition sticker front upper right corner on the outside of the wrap (see scan). Corners slightly worn with a few creased tips. Some short crinkles around the edges. A couple longer crinkles on the back upper left corner. No stickers under the shrink wrap, no pen/pencil marks, no seam splits. Rate the cover VG to VG+(excellent), maybe half way between. Comments: Based on past experience and visual examination, I'd expect the tracks to audibly average at least half way between VG+(excellent) and Near Mint. If an audio grade is provided (Please request well in advance of the end of auction), you can assign your own grade based on my comments and the scale shown below. Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people:

• NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)
• 3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise
• 3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops
• VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective)
• VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise
• G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise

I normally ship LPs in 13x13x2 standard record mailers. Weight with box is 1 pound 2 oz. Shipping is $3.22 Media Rate (1-2 pounds) + $1.19 box = $4.41.

Alternatively, I can ship in a 14 x 14 x 6" box. Weight with box is about 1 pound 15 oz. Shipping is $3.22 Media Rate (1-2 pounds) + $1.85 box/tape/packing = $5.07.
