Description
Using the name Sheila Kay, Elsie Carlisle sings "Am I Blue" and "Through" on Worldecho A1012, with hot accompaniment. The record is still in its original sleeve.
Elsie Carlisle (vcl), acc by Lloyd Shakespeare (tp); Ben Oakley (tb); Les Norman (as); unknown (vln); Cecil Norman (p); ... Stanley (tu). Recorded in London on October 16, 1929.
As is typical of these coated cardboard discs, there is crazing on the surfaces, but the record plays much better than it looks, varying between E- and V+. There are a few scratches on the "Through" side that sound lightly. The sleeve has some tears and a split on one side seam, and it would benefit from an ironing.
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing. I know how to pack records.
