Elton John Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me Acetate Rare Trident Studios.
Ultra rare - acetates were only made for recording artists and their record labels to be used as “demos” of new recordings and were strictly private, not to be made available to the public .
This item was sourced from A private collection in the Watford area.
After this track and other tracks were recorded at the Caribou Ranch studio in the USA, Elton reportedly wasn’t happy with the sound and returned to London ,to re-mix it at Trident studios.
The Uk Release date, 24 05 1974, is handwritten on the label , the Us release date was a few weeks later .
