Description

Elton John  Ice On Fire
The Rocket Record Company – HISPD 26, The Rocket Record Company – 826 213-1 Barcode : 0 42282 62131 3 Vinyl, LP, Album, Stereo
UK
1985

I purchase this in a London record shop in the early 1990's. At the time I had no knowledge regarding these signed editions. From sources on the internet, it seems the HMV store in London had acquired 50? or 100? hand-signed pressings from Elton to promote the album's release in 1985. One person mentioned waiting in line that morning to make sure and buy one. These are NOT numbered in any way.
Clean shape with some rubs and wear. The front cover photo is APPLIED to the surface of the jacket (you can see the raised edges), compared to standard pressing that have the photo printed directly on the cover. One blemish can be seen on that image. No ring wear. The corner where Elton signed has a bump. I've tried to supply some photos of that. The vinyl looks clean and shiny. No spindle wear.
Visual grading only: VINYL - EX spindles are clean COVER - VG+ bumped corners, slight wear and blemish on photo image Original inner sleeve - EX as shown
