**60th Anniversary Alert**
An original 1961 1st Issue USA RCA pressing. Matrix 1S/4S. Easy to spot this is an early pressing as this label was discontinued around this point. Lovely heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono paste-over hard cover. We also have the original inner sleeve too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In marvellous condition particularly given the vintage - some one has taken good care of it. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side, one small patch of light scuffing - absolutely nothing that will enter the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Now, don't underestimate a grading like this. Anyone familiar with this title should be only too aware of just how much very lowkey fussy audio is present here. After 60 years the chances of it remaining in tip top condition - are quite slim. But this example is definitely a time traveller. Playing really clean throughout. There's nothing here that will get in the way of this marvellous rendition - superb. You can hear you're close on to those original USA masters. Excellent fidelity. Nothing more than a few slight crackles in one brief spot per side. The mere fact that it is all still here for your enjoyment makes it all the more remarkable.   Cover (Vg) Not up to the standard of the vinyl but respectable. Nice clean front and rear. Most copies will exhibit surface wear or ageing on the rear. So, from this angle very respectable. But there is a good bit of wear on the top edge and it has worn through for 3 inches from the opening. I have tape repaired internally - so it is just a cosmetic issue. Don't expect to make out any text on the spine - it has all worn away. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) The genuine article. Has splits on one side - tape repaired.
