Description
Four Elvis Costello promo albums. All are unplayed and in amazingly good condition. Will include two lps that are not promos and that were played if you would like them. Didn't factor them into the set's price since I only sell the best stuff.
1. 1978 picture disc - Mint condition in factory-sealed shrink wrap. Side 1 comprises selections from "My Aim Is True;" Side 2 from "This Year's Model." The disc was never released commercially. Back jacket reads, "For Promotion Only Not for Sale." A la carte price - $55
2. This Year's Model, 1978 - Cosmetically, it's almost perfect. Very slight edge wear. Original illustrated dust jacket. Regular red Columbia label; i.e. not white promo label. A la carte price - $25
3. Armed Forces, 1979 - Cosmetically perfect -- no edge wear. White timing strip on front & back is gold-stamped "For Promotion Only." A couple of tracks on timing strip have small inked check marks next to them. Probably the radio station music director's recommendations. Original illustrated dust jacket & white Columbia promo label. Listing includes the 7" promo 45 rpm that came with it, but the vinyl on "Accidents Will Happen" is damaged and likely unplayable. A la carte price - $30
4. Get Happy, 1980 - Cosmetically perfect -- no edge wear. Back is gold-stamped "For Promotion Only." Original illustrated dust jacket & white Columbia promo label. A la carte price - $30
Discounted the total price if you buy the set, but will consider offers for individual LPs from this and other listings with minimum purchase of $50 -- please contact me.
Shipping is via USPS media mail, signature required, to U.S. buyers only.
More about the collection: All albums in this and my other listings are from my personal collection dating back to a long-ago career in rock radio. Record sales are not my livelihood, so rather than attempt to grade them using a system in which I have no expertise, I prefer to let the photos and my honest descriptions tell the story. If they're described as unplayed, it's because I never played them and there've been no other owners.
