Elvis Merry Christmas Baby Vinyl record 45 Rpm, Come All Ye Faithful reverse side. APKS-1270_6S etched in the run out.
This vinyl has been played on one of two turntables. One was a Dual 1009 fitted witha Sure M93E magnetic cartridge with less than a gram of tracking force(vertical) and ½ gram horizontal balancing force. The other was a Kenwood, fitted with anEmpire (of unknown number.) Bothtracked in the low gram weight. I’vebalanced both. Both were equipped withan elliptical stylus.
Grading Standards: I take gradingseriously and grade conservatively. If I don't feel confident in my grade, Iwill grade down.

Vinyl Grading Standards:
Mint: Accordingto the grading system only sealedrecords are considered mint. I will notgive a wrapped record a Mint. I wouldrather see it, and I don’t have the ability to look through a shrink wrapped sleevevery well. It should not have beenplayed and you can tell once it was played: even on the vintage state of theart turntables…. I’ve never seen an LP Idid not think was played.
NM : Near Mint : No scratches andclean inlays. This would leave one wondering if it's been played. I however ask what if it was played. Who cares? Playing a record on a quality turntable, with a high quality tone armand cartridge with a gram or two of force does not damage the vinyl! Here I look at the grooves. There will be a little bit of whiteness, telltail. The more white the more the recordhas been in play. But that really doesnot tell you much. I’ve purchased lotsof records with pretty white grooves that sound great. (Probably a spherical stylus, and a heavytone arm caused the groove indentions.)
EX: Looks great, sounds new. Canhave up to 3 scratches per side. But a small deep scratch that is likely topop the needle off the track is a G+.
VG+: May have some lightscratches. Usually less than 8 per side. Very little change to sound quality.Expected to have sound quality close to near mint.
VG-STRONG: A great value. Except itmight tear up the stylus on a good turn table. Likelywill sound VG+ as the VG has scratches but the scratches are light and spacedout. This is not something I enjoy.
VG: Has a lot of scratches.Usually more than 8 on each side. May have slight affect on sound quality. Theprimary example is crackling that can be present on quieter sections. The RPM also makes this annoying. A 45 and esp. a 78 will be more notiicble.
G+: Scratches cover the entirerecord. Usually the scratches are light and the record can sound fine but skipsare a possibility.
G: Record is not playable. Deepscratches, cracks, warps, chips, and more. A record in this condition wouldneed to be ultra rare. I would never put this on a goodturntable, I would eat up the needle.
Jacket Grading Standards:
M: Sealed, no storage wear. (See above.)
EX: Slight storage wear such as minorring wear or some rubbing on the edges of the jacket.
VG++: Storage wear. No majordamage such as jacket picture damaged or damage corners.
VG+: May have one smallimperfection such as some fading on the binding.
VG:May have 2 imperfections suchas ring wear and wear on the corners. Note ifit has asignature. That it may be worth $.
G+: has 3 imperfections such asring wear, wrighting, and atear on the binding.
G: Has 4 or more imperfections.Generally is not a great sleeve for collectors. Usuallystructurally intact so it can still hold or preserve the vinyl.

Look WHAT I just found. The picture is on the listing. It is not part of this sale, but stay tuned. I'm posting it tonight. It is a remaster LP-Stereo of the two songs on the 45. NM, same turntable and balance arm. I'll bet the 45rpm was a promo for the LP !
