Description

RARE 1959 copy of Elvis Presley's LP "A Date With Elvis in Near Mint Condition.  Gatefold cover with pre-punched hole that allows for hanging to utilize the 1960 calendar.  Date of Elvis' release from the Army circled in red. Interior of gatefold cover features a "telegram" from Elvis and various photos of Elvis in the Army. Front of cover features a red sticker listing album track titles. Cover is in excellent shape.  When gatefold is open you will find that the bottom right corner had been bent and top left corner has an small triangle shaped type of wear.  No splits or tears in spine or cover with no shelf wear noticeable anywhere.  Does not come with original inner protective paper sleeve.  A plain white sleeve has been used to keep it clean over the years. The vinyl record is in near mint condition with no scratches and both labels are in near mint condition (see photos).    This cover allows for the record to be slid in from the top, not the side as usual.  Black label has the dog on top and "Long Play" at the bottom. No Reserve.
