ELVIS PRESLEY – “BLUE HAWAII” (LPM-2426), A 1961 FIRST PRESSING WITH SCARCE RED STICKER!

RECORD:  VG++ (EXC) with full original gloss! There are just some extremely light paper sleeve scuffs that should have no effect on the audible performance of this Rockaway pressing. The labels are simply beautiful, with just a couple of very light spindle marks. This 1961 Original Soundtrack recording includes the hit single “CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE / ROCK-A-HULA BABY”. The matrix numbers end with 6S/11S.

COVER:  VG+ with the scarce and highly sought-after RED STICKER announcing the inclusion of the “Twist” Special, “ROCK-A-HULA BABY” and “CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE”! The sticker boasts rich colors that have not faded since new. In fact, I cannot even see any ring wear on the entire cover! The colors are very attractive and there is no writing, tape or staple holes anywhere. There is, however, a ½-inch upper seam split as well as a shorter split to the lower seam at the open end. The latter could be construed as “corner wear” and I have included a photo of it. Other than these minor detractions, the upper & lower edges are clean, smooth and sound, as is the fully legible spine. This is a highly presentable album to add to any collection of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia.

INNER SLEEVE:  The original gray RCA Victor inner sleeve from the era.
