Description
Classic LPs is pleased to offer for sale a rare EX+condition Elvis promotional record (see pics). This is one of several rare Elvis records we are currently auctioning (please see the Elvis section in our shop for details of the other items).
It takes the form of two one-sided 12" LPs with green in-house labels stating Factory Sample and Not For Sale.
The label also states: 'Notice: This Pressing is not necessarily representative of the finished record and must not be used for review purposes.'
The label also states 'Made In England'. It has the artist/title and catalogue no.s (RD-27238)handwritten in blue biro.
The run-off grooves contain the following matrix details: M2PP-2997-1B.
The records are fully-realised vinyl pressings, so the non-LP sides have run-on and run-off grooves (and emit a low tonal sound if played!)
The records are housed in the original polylined 12" inner sleeve with a broken seal stating it is a factory sample.
The discs are in EX+ condition with some occasional light marks and play as EX+ with occasional light background crackles.
The sleeve is the original UK mono Blue Hawaii flipback sleeve with full front laminate in EX++ to near-mint condition.
To the best of our knoweldge we understand this item dates from the early 1960s.
Please note we are auctioning these records with relatively low (and realistic) starting prices and no reserve for a transparent transaction.
We would be keen to engage with serious bidders only please, and seek payment strictly within 48 hours of the transaction. If transaction is not completed within 48 hours, item will automatically be offered to the second-highest bidder.
The transaction is binding based on the above description of the item, which we attest to be fair and accurate. Please note that we work to the UK Record Collector standard of grading (although we tend to err on the conservative side for maximum customer satisfaction). Postage costs include full insurance cover.
