Description
Vinyl (78RPM): Both sides retain a decent shine, though it appears the record may have been waxed at some point and would benefit from a proper deep cleaning. Playback on both sides sounds great with no issues.
Side: “Blue Suede Shoes” Light hairline at approximately 11 o’clock. At around 10 o’clock there are three small scuff patches on the dead wax, each about an inch or less. Three tiny ghost dots visible at about 5 o’clock. A few additional light hairlines present on the outer dead wax. All marks are cosmetic only and do not affect play.
Side: “Tutti Frutti” Four cosmetic scuff marks on the dead wax, each under an inch wide. No feelable scratches. Playback is strong and clean.
Labels: No stickers or writing. Color remains strong. Some spindle scuffing present around the center hole from normal use.
Overall: Record presents well for a 78 of this era. Shine is good, surfaces show only cosmetic handling marks, and both sides play great. A deep clean would likely improve appearance further once my Nitty Gritty machine is back in service.
