VERY SCARCE, NEAR MINT "ELVIS'  CHRISTMAS ALBUM" (LOC-1035) FROM 1957               

You have the opportunity to bid on this highly sought-after, Near Mint example of Elvis Presley's original 1957 CHRISTMAS ALBUM! This one-year-only issue is numbered LOC-1035 on the RCA Victor label and comes with the gatefold cover with a bound-in album of mostly color photos of Elvis shot during the filming of "Jailhouse Rock". This album is simply stunning and just as glossy as the day it was purchased new in 1957!  The labels are just beautiful, with only very light spindle marks noticable. Again, this is a Near Mint record and boasts the earliest of Matrix Numbers, (Side 1): H2 PP6526-1S and (Side 2): H2 PP6527-1S. It exhibits great eye-appeal and is rarely encountered in this lofty grade. It would be extremely difficult to locate a better copy than this one! The cover is in EXCELLENT condition, with absolutely no seam splits, tape, writing or torn photos. The imitation leather spine is free of splits, which is a rare find in itself! The photo pages are fantastic with no tears or creases! They are entirely bound in, with no weak areas. Just as new! Here are the negatives, and they are minor: There is some light shelf wear along the upper and lower edges, plus a bit of corner wear, as would be expected on a 55 year-old album cover. There is also some light spotted scuffing on the back cover that is visible upon zooming in on the photo you see here, but this is quite minor, as the great majority of the cover remains glossy as when new. If you are a serious collector who desires very high quality records that you could possibly locate for your high-end collection, then look no further! I am currently in the process of gradually posting my collection of Elvis Presley LP's and singles that is over 35 years in the making. Very few of the records that I will be listing will be in lower condition than "VG", as I have upgraded through the years, seeking out the best that I could find. Prior to auction sites such as ebay, my buying sources were publications such as "Goldmine" or used record shops, even garage and estate sales. I am now 50 and want to scale down my hobbies (I am a hopeless collector of several different things!). I intend to list my collection in its entirety, through 1968, as that seems to be the stopping point for many collectors, but also the beginning of some of my personal favorite Elvis albums and singles, that I will not sell. The "Jumpsuit years" are what I can personally relate to. I will also list some duplicate post-1968 material as time goes on for those who may be interested.  

This album will come with its original RCA Victor Inner Sleeve, along with a plain white sleeve and shipped with the record separated from the cover to prevent seam splits from the record sliding around during transit.
