ELVIS PRESLEY – “ELVIS’ CHRISTMAS ALBUM” (LOC-1035) – FIRST PRESSING From 1957 

RECORD:  VG with much original gloss and on the upper end of the grade, but I will stop short of VG+ due to the amount of surface scratches and scuffs. I played this record in its entirety and overall, it played very well. There were no skips or repeats, but there are random light to moderate “ticks”, especially noticed in softer areas of the music. The labels on this Rockaway pressing are clean and attractive, with just spindle marks noticed as the only detraction. This is the original First Pressing from 1957 and a one-year exclusive. In 1958, the record number was changed to LPM-1951 and the cover underwent a total change in artwork. This original album has become exceedingly scarce over time, especially in “playable” condition. The matrix numbers on this album end with 3S/4S.

COVER: VG+ with a spine split of approximately 5 inches at the center, which is quite common for these covers (see photo). The printing along the spine is in Gold and is fully legible. The upper and lower edges have just some spotted wear. There is some corner wear, as would be expected for a 58-year-old album cover. There is some light, overall surface scuffing on both sides as well as some surface scratches. The bound-in “Photo Album” is fully intact and EXCELLENT! Absolutely no tears, writing or creases on any of the photos. Add this scarce album to your collection of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia today!  

INNER SLEEVE:  Comes with the original “RCA Victor” inner sleeve from the era. A list of then-current RCA Victor albums is on the back side. “Loving You” (LPM-1515) is mentioned under the “Popular” section.
