SUPER RARE "ELVIS" (LPM-1382) WITH "BAND" LABELS - NEAR MINT VINYL!!!
You have the opportunity to bid on this highly coveted Near Mint example of Elvis Presley's heralded Second Album, simply titled "ELVIS" (LPM-1382), released in 1956 on the RCA Victor label. This album is simply stunning when you gaze upon the lustrous vinyl as it is slipped out from inside of the original onion skin inner sleeve. The labels are simply gorgeous with just the slightest hint of spindle marks on the Side 1 label. The silver print stands out proudly against the clean black labels. Again, this is a Near Mint record and the vinyl appears just like when it was purchased new in 1956 and brought home in the back seat of a 1955 Cadillac Coupe de Ville!! This record exhibits stunning eye-appeal and is rarely encountered in this lofty grade. I challenge the fussiest of collectors to find a better copy that will not cost you $1,000! The Matrix Numbers are (Side 1) G2 WP 7207-9S and (Side 2) G2 WP 7208-13S. The cover is technically Near Mint as well. I use the word technically because the cover is Near Mint, with a glossy front slick and WHITE white everywhere else, including the seams and spine! NO RING WEAR!! The ONLY faults are a faint 2-1/2" center seam break on both, the top and the bottom seams. Other than these trivial detractions, this is one fine cover! If you are a serious collector who desires the finest that you could possibly locate for your high-end collection, then look no further! See the photos and judge for yourself.
ABOUT ME
I am currently in the process of gradually posting my collection of Elvis Presley LP's and singles that is over 35 years in the making. Very few of the records that I will be listing will be in lower condition than "VG", as I have upgraded through the years, seeking out the best that I could find. Prior to auction sites such as ebay, my buying sources were publications such as "Goldmine" or used record shops, even garage and estate sales. I am now 50 and want to scale down my hobbies (I am a hopeless collector of several different things!). I intend to list my collection in its entirety, through 1968, as that seems to be the stopping point for many collectors, but also the beginning of some of my personal favorite Elvis albums and singles, that I will not sell. The "Jumpsuit years" are what I can personally relate to. I will also list some duplicate post-1968 material as time goes on for those who may be interested.
This album will come with its original "Onion Skin" Inner Sleeve, along with a plain white sleeve and shipped with the record separated from the cover to prevent seam splits from the record sliding around during transit.
