Elvis Is Back! is the tenth studio album by Elvis Presley, released by RCA Victor in April 1960. It marked Elvis's highly anticipated return to civilian life and recording sessions following his two-year discharge from the U.S. Army.
Recorded during two legendary late-night sessions at RCA's Studio B in Nashville, Tennessee, the album represents a monumental artistic transition. It shows a more mature, versatile Elvis moving beyond standard rockabilly to confidently master soulful blues, doo-wop, gospel-tinged ballads, and pop.
