Description
Artist: Elvis Presley Title: Elvis Sails. I have rated this record as good but there is a small amount of surface noise throughout but not really enough to detract from the listening experience. Side 1: Consists of a large press conference at the Brooklyn Army Terminal and because of the large number of reporters present some of the questions are off mike and are slightly hard to hear. However, on Side 2 the interviews are conducted by far fewer journalists and there is a clearer, cleaner sound. Throughout his career Elvis was notoriously reluctant to give interviews to the press. Which makes this EP recorded on September 22nd 1958, as Elvis was about to be shipped off to Germany as part of his military service, a fascinating slice rock music history.
