ELVIS PRESLEY - “FOR LP FANS ONLY” (LPM-1990), A VG++ FIRST PRESSING WITH ITS ORIGINAL OUTER LOOSE "BAGGY"! RECORD: VG++ (EXC) with just some very light scuffs on the clean, glossy surfaces. I played this Hollywood pressing in its entirety and it sounded great! Absolutely no skips, repeats or loud "ticks". However, a few subtle "ticks" were heard, which did not override the listening enjoyment. The entire audible experience is crisp and clear! Released in March of 1959, this album is comprised of songs that were previously released exclusively on 45 RPM. This album has obviously been adult-owned since new because of the condition. Most copies of this album are pretty much beat in comparison. The labels are super clean and attractive, with just some light spindle marks noticed. The matrix numbers end with 4S/2S, respectively.
COVER: VG with a 5-1/2-inch upper seam split as well as a 2-inch lower seam split (please see all photos!). Aside from the splits, there is the usual corner wear and some lower, central edge wear. Ring wear is minimal and the slicks remain glossy! The spine is solid and fully legible. I have owned this album for several years and the outer loose "baggy" has always been with it. There is no "proof" that it is original to this album as it does easily slip off. We can only assume that it has been with the album since new. INNER SLEEVE: The original RCA Victor sleeve from the era, which depicts other albums available at the time.
