Description
As I continue to auction my 35-year-plus collection of Elvis Presley records, you now have the opportunity to bid on this VG+ example of "FOR LP FANS ONLY" (LPM-1990) from 1959. The Matrix Numbers are (Side 1): J2 PP 8070-3S and (Side 2): J2 PP 8071-4S. On Side 1, the Matrix numbers are engraved and on Side 2, the Matrix Numbers are stamped! This variety is not shown in Jerry Osborne's "Presleyana". The labels are very clean, with just some spindle marks evident. The vinyl is very clean and glossy, although there are some superficial scratches that have barely any affect on the "New Orthophonic High Fidelity" sound. This record sounded great upon test play! The cover is not quite as nice. It grades VG- due to upper and lower edge wear, including seam splits of 2 inches and approximately 4 inches, respectively. The spine is intact and the lettering is legible, but has wear. There is no tape, writing, grafitti or staple holes. Overall, A great Elvis album that is fully original. This album will come with its original RCA Victor Inner Sleeve depicting other popular LP's of the era and shipped with the record separated from the cover to prevent seam splits from the record sliding around during transit.
Please note: I ship all records in cardboard record mailers and not those flimsy bubblewrap envelopes that offer no real protection against breakage.
