ELVIS PRESLEY 1950's WEEK CONTINUES WITH "FOR LP FANS ONLY" (LPM-1990) - A FIRST PRESSING FROM 1959 IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION!

RECORD: VG+ on the higher end with very pleasing, glossy surfaces. There is just a smattering of very light surface scuffs that do not deter the listening enjoyment. I played this record in its entirety and it sounded great! Absolutely no annoying surface noise, skips or repeats. Of course, being a record of this vintage, a few sporadic "ticks" are going to be heard, especially in soft spots. This particular record is difficult to find in any grade above a standard VG as the vast majority were purchased by young teenagers in 1959, who were vaguely educated on proper record care. The labels on this Rockaway pressing are clean and original with no stickers or writing; just a few very light spindle marks. The matrix numbers end with 2S/4S. This album is comprised of songs that Elvis recorded very early in his career that were available only on 45 RPM or E.P., hence the title of this album, "For LP Fans Only".

COVER:  VG+ with very minimal ring wear or surface scuffing. Fully original with no tape, writing or staple holes! However, there is a 1-inch seam split to the lower right along with a 3/4-inch split to the upper right, which is really not bad for this particular issue. The vast majority of these covers have very serious splits. there are a couple of spots of wear on the upper edge; one being at the upper left corner, where a tiny piece of the covering had torn away. The spine is beautiful and entirely legible! This album, as a whole, simply screams with originality. This album deserves placement in a high-end collection of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia.

INNER SLEEVE: The original sleeve from 1959, depicting many of the newly released Easy Listening LP's on the RCA Victor label. Elvis was the company's ONLY Rock n' Roll singer until the early 1960's. There are splits on all three sides of the sleeve.
