ELVIS PRESLEY - “FRANKIE AND JOHNNY” (LSP-3553), AN ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK RECORDING FROM 1966 - INCLUDES BONUS PHOTO!
RECORD: VG+ with very attractive, glossy surfaces! This Stereo record has seen some play, but not very much. I test-played two tracks; "Come Along" and "Beginner's Luck", due to the presence of a couple surface scuffs and the result was very positive. Both songs played great and I believe that the remainder of this Indianapolis pressing will play just as well! This Original Soundtrack Recording was released in April of 1966 and includes the hit single, "Frankie And Johnny / Please Don't Stop Loving Me". This album was a one-time release and never to be reissued by RCA Victor in the United States. In 1975, Pickwick/Camden reissued most of it, but left out three of the original tracks; "Chesay", "Look Out Broadway" and "Everybody Come Aboard". The matrix numbers on this record end with 5S/2S, respectively. COVER: VG+ with approximately 75% of the original shrink wrap still present. About 25% of the shrink had torn away on the front at some point in the past. In that area, there is some light ring wear noticed. A subtle corner bend is seen to the upper right as well as a bit of wear to the lower right edge. A diagonal bend is noticed at the lower left corner that is about 3 inches in from the corner tip. There are no seam splits, tape or staple holes anywhere on this cover, but there is some marks written in ball-point pen on the back side. The writings are in the song title area, directly on the shrink wrap and do not affect the cover itself. This is quite an attractive cover and will fit nicely in any collection of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia.
INNER SLEEVE: The original "ELVIS' Great LP Catalog" (40B) sleeve from the era. Edge splits are noticed and the record will be housed in a plain white sleeve for shipping purposes.
BONUS PHOTO: VG with some moderate staining as well as light to moderate wrinkling (see photos). The photo is fully intact with straight edges and no tears! There are also no pinholes or staple holes anywhere on the photo. This Bonus Photo has been a bit mishandled, but not "mangled" by any means.
