Description
- Artist & Title: Elvis Presley – For LP Fans Only (1959 US Pressing)
- Label & Pressing Details: RCA Victor (LPM-1990, Mono). Features the desirable early deep groove label. While true initial first-run stampers carried a -1S designation, this copy is an exceptionally early and desirable second-run pressing featuring -2S stampers manufactured shortly after the initial 1959 release.
- Matrix / Runout Numbers: Side 1: J2PP-8070-2S / Side 2: J2PP-8071-2S
- Record Condition: Vinyl record is in VG++ / Excellent condition with just one light surface scratch, very minor, and some sleeve scuffs. Record has been received in a three-ply onion skin archival protective inner sleeve.
- Playback Quality: Plays VG++ / Excellent with some light surface noise in between tracks, but this deep groove mono still sounds good. Please listen to the video sample included with the eBay ad.
Sleeve Condition: Sleeve is also in VG+ condition with just a very tiny seam split on top and a legible title edge. Some light chipping on edge light ring wear, there is a distressed area on the top right corner on the back of the sleeve plus a small sticker and writing☺—it looks like someone wrote t with a check mark—corners are bumped and rubbed but otherwise this is a pretty nice copy of a second pressing first edition. 4 mil heavy duty protective outer sleeve provided.

In this condition (VG++ / Excellent vinyl with a solid VG+ sleeve and the desirable deep groove, early -2S mono pressing), this original 1959 pressing typically trades in the $40 to $75 range on the collector market.
Clean original first-year mono pressings with strong playback and intact sleeves hold steady value because collectors actively look for the deep groove label variation.
