Description
ELVIS PRESLEY – “HARUM SCARUM” – (LPM-3468) – Scarce HOLLYWOOD PRESSING from 1965 with BONUS PHOTO!
RECORD: NM- and exhibiting full original gloss! There are just a few extremely light surface scuffs that should have absolutely no effect on the audible performance. This Hollywood pressing should play like NEW! Being that this IS the highly coveted Hollywood pressing, you will see that the labels bear the “Expanded Credits” that Jerry Osborne mentions in “Presleyana VII”! Mr. Osborne places a value at more than DOUBLE on these Hollywood pressings, over their Indianapolis and Rockaway counterparts. These labels are also very choice, NM. Unfortunately, there were no hit singles from this album, although it sell many copies upon its release in 1965. The matrix numbers end with 4S/4S.
COVER: VG++ (EXC) with beautiful surfaces, showing absolutely no ring wear on either side! However, there is a pair of tiny staple holes to the upper left-hand corner. Luckily, the Bonus Photo did not fall victim to these staple holes! The cover does have a few very minor corner “bumps”, but I see no actual wear anywhere. A really, really nice cover!
INNER SLEEVE: The original “ELVIS’ GREAT LP CATALOG” (40B) inner sleeve from the era.
BONUS PHOTO: NM- and just short of pristine! There appears to be a very small smudge on the back that could very well be from the time of production; hard to tell. The surface is simply stunning and the corners sharp. Hard to believe that this photo is now over 50 years old! One would be very hard-pressed in locating a better copy.
SONG LISTING:
SIDE 1: Harem Holiday; My Desert Serenade; Go East – Young Man; Mirage; Kismet; Shake That Tambourine.
SIDE 2: Hey Little Girl; Golden Coins; So Close, Yet So Far; Animal Instinct; Wisdom of the Ages.
GOOD LUCK!
