Description
Elvis Presley HMV POP 295 Mystery Train and Love Me 45 7" 1957 Gold Print Label. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class. Original 45 rpm 7" 1957 UK pressing on the HMV label of this classic Sun tune coupled with Love Me. The record plays all the way through both songs with no problems although background crackle is present throughout. Still sounds better than any horrible old Sun pressing I've ever heard though. The HMV pressings had a great vibrant sound to them and that still comes through well on this one. I would play grade the record at a VG-. Visually also a VG-. The labels are both clean with no writing or marks and are of the gold print variety as opposed to the later silver print. They are not the brightest in the world but are easily readible and look better in person than in the photos. Comes complete with a HMV company sleeve in VG condition although there is some writing at the top on one side. The sleeve is pretty sturdy though for a 63 year old piece of paper. All round, it's a good honest copy and there would be no shame in having it in your collection if you don't want to spend £150 plus for a pristine one. Released in February 1957 this is one of the harder HMV singles to get hold of achieving a high in the charts of #9. Listed at a realistic start price.
