ELVIS PRESLEY – “KISSIN’ COUSINS” (LPM-2894) – Second Pressing with RARE “No cast Photo” Cover!
RECORD: VG+ with no surface scratches or scuffs that can be felt with the fingertip. Much original gloss remains on this Indianapolis pressing! The labels are beautiful on this Original Soundtrack Recording, with just some light spindle marks noticed. This is a Second Pressing, with the “RCA Victor” logo above the dog now in White, in place of Silver. At the base of the labels, is “Monaural”, which replaced the large Silver “MONO” on the First Pressing. The matrix numbers end with 4S/4S. This album includes the hit single “KISSIN’ COUSINS”. One of the “Bonus Songs”, “(It’s A) LONG LONELY HIGHWAY” was released as a single in the summer of 1965. If you listen closely, you’ll find that the version that is heard on the single is actually an Alternate Take. Elvis is seen singing this song at the opening of the film, “Tickle Me”, while riding on a bus.
COVER: VG++ with very light ring wear on both sides, along with some lower left corner wear and a small amount of edge wear on the bottom. This is the RARE and highly sought-after cover version that omits the black & white photo of the film cast at the lower right-hand section of the front. The photo is present on the vast majority of copies of this album. This cover is fully original, with absolutely no seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes.
INNER SLEEVE: Comes with the original “ELVIS’ GREAT LP CATALOG” (40A) sleeve from the era.
