Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1959 reissue EP release of ELVIS PRESLEY in King Creole released in the USA.
The record itself (EPA-4319 dog on top) is in EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+ condition with some light marks/scratches (nothing deep or drastic) and retains some of it's natural sheen.
The centre labels are clean and have NO WRITING (see photos).
The THICK CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2016 as $45 in the condition it is in now EXCELLENT- for the sleeve alone!!!
This sleeve is 61 years old and is in nice condition for the age.
There are NO SPLITS ,RIPS or WRITING.
The only thing that stops this from grading even higher is some scuff marks/ringwear (see photos)
This is quite a hard one to find as it was re-released under the Gold Standard Series only 14 months after the original issue ( catalogue number 47-4319) and as a result didn't sell as many copies.
This is a really affordable collection filler until that MINT £60+ copy comes along.
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $60(£48 approx.)
I don't have a current price guide but i would say at least £50.
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
