Description
For sale is Elvis' second LP called Best of Elvis; it is on the HMV label and is a very rare 10inch album.
You can see from the photograph's that the cover edges are is sellotaped to the max; yet the record looks in great looking condition. One can see the inside sleeve is in very good condition and is free from any sticky tape or tears. I have had this record since it was first issued and the cover is not in this condition through neglect, but through not keeping her in a protective skin leaving both her, and many of my early HMV 78's & 45's and perhaps early RCA tracks with torn covers.
Now comes the difficult part. I have only sold records after playing them so I do not lumber someone with a Pig in a Poke and can say with all honestly how she plays. Not so this album. I began to play her yesterday following playing Elvis' first LP when the sound faded. This has to be a Stylus problem and needs replacing. All I have been able to do is listen to her playing in very subdued tones and while the record sounds great, (And looks to have a great deal of original shine on her) this is not really proof of her at play. To combat this problem I have reduced her starting price to £25.00p because I do not accept returns because I am selling 500 records of Elvis and about 3000-4000 records all told.
I will share the £8-40p cost of postage and packing as 50% each as I will only post registered or recorded delivery to make sure both buyer and seller are never at a loss. This will also cover upto three records purchased together. Please by sure you would wish to own this very rare piece of Elvis history before bidding, and hope to get sound back so I can play this one and list the sound correctly and the same for the other two copies of Best of Elvis I own. Thank you all for looking.
