This is the legendary debut album that launched Elvis Presley to global superstardom. Released in March 1956, it was the first rock and roll album to ever reach number one on the Billboard charts. This record is a cornerstone of any serious music collection, featuring the transition of Elvis from Sun Records to RCA. The cover art is one of the most famous in history, featuring the iconic pink and green lettering that was later famously mirrored by The Clash for their London Calling album. This specific copy is a genuine original 1956 pressing, not a modern reissue.
