Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1957 EP release of ELVIS PRESLEY in Loving You (vol 1) released in the USA.
The record itself (EPA 1 - 1515 dog on top)is in EXCELLENT- condition with a few visible marks/scratches but nothing too deep or drastic.
THIS IS THE RARER ISSUE WITH HORIZONTAL LINE!
The centre labels have NO WRITING but do have a tiny bit of damage near the centre on side 2(see photos).
The THICK CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as $35 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is VERY GOOD+)for the sleeve alone!!!
This sleeve is over 56 years old and is in reasonable condition for the age.
There are NO MAJOR SPLITS,RIPS or TEARS(see photos)
The only thing that stops this from grading even higher is the start of seam split at the top, bottom and side of the sleeve and some tiny pin holes in the top right corner(see photos)
For some strange reason vol 1 is always harder and more expensive to find and does not come up for auction too often!!
This is a really affordable copy until that MINT £80+ copy comes along.
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $80(£54 approx) .
I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £60.
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
Please look at my other auctions for some more great Elvis USA picture sleeve lots.
I offer shipping discounts on multiple purchases!
APOLOGIES FOR POSTAGE PRICE INCREASES BUT THIS IS DUE TO ROYAL MAIL RAISING COSTS AS OF 30TH APRIL 2012!!!
