ELVIS PRESLEY - “MOODY BLUE” (AFL1-2428), A RARE 1977 BLACK VINYL PRESSING!        RECORD: VG++ (EXC) and very glossy! There are some air bubbles in the vinyl, which are not pronounced enough to create any issues during play. There is only some minor evidence of play, including some concentric needle marks as well as a few paper sleeve scuffs, none of which should have any effect on the audible performance. The Black Label, "Dog Near Top" labels are very clean except for some fingerprinting. This album was released in June of 1977 for a limited run on Blue Vinyl. In July of 1977, RCA began pressing the album in Black Vinyl. Of course, Elvis passed away unexpectedly in August and in more or less a commemorative move, RCA switched back to Blue Vinyl where it went unchanged until 1979, when the catalog prefix number changed from AFL1 to AQL1. This album is one of those pressed in Black Vinyl, just prior to Elvis' passing and is highly sought after by collectors today. This album includes the hit singles, "Moody Blue / She Thinks I Still Care" and "Way Down / Pledging My Love". Within the dead wax trail-off, we see "Materfonics GAM" and the matrix numbers ending in 1S/1S.
COVER: VG++ (EXC) with some light ring wear on the front. I do not see any on the back side, but there is some spotted edge wear as well as corner tip wear. There are no seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes present.               INNER SLEEVE: The original "ELVIS" (54E) sleeve from the era.

GOOD LUCK!
I COMBINE SHIPPING! $4.00 for the first LP, then 25 cents for each additional LP. International Shipping has resumed for select countries. Please do not ask me to check "Gift" instead of "Merchandise" or to declare a low value on the Customs Form!  I ship all records in the CORRECT cardboard record mailers, specifically designed for shipping these historic and tough-to-replace treasures to your doorstep in the same condition as when they leave my hands. USPS has been known to find a way to bend these boxes on occasion, hard as that may be to believe, so items valued at $30 or more will be shipped automatically with insurance at no additional cost to the buyer. ALL of my records are U.S. pressings unless otherwise stated.  Payment is expected within 5 (Five) days from close of auction via PAY PAL ONLY – NO EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE. I normally ship within three business days from close of auction, but please allow a little extra time in the event of a holiday.  Returns are accepted if you are accepted if you are not completely satisfied with your item. I strongly believe that my grading of records is spot-on, but we’re all human and something may occasionally be missed upon inspection. I will do my best to ensure customer satisfaction. 2018 marks 40 years of experience for me in this wonderful hobby. I specialize in Elvis Presley.
