Description
Elvis Presley, as recorded at Madison Square Garden, 1972 Japan LP, SX-86, + obi & record bag
Original Japanese LP, second pressing from late '72. Comes in deluxe gatefold cover with integrated booklet with illustrations, English lyrics and Japanese liner notes. Also included is an Elvis record bag that was issued at the same time as this LP and the Burning Love album and contains ads for these 2 albums on one side and an ad for the upcoming Aloha album on the other side. It may be difficult to see in my photo but the small shot of the Aloha cover has a totally different picture of Elvis to the one that was used on the actual album. The picture here is the one that FTD used in 2009 for their Standing Room Only LP.
DISC: visually grades near-mint and there are almost no spindle marks on the labels.
COVER: VG+ (some rubbing along the spine and edges but no splits. No writing anywhere. The inside of the gatefold is pretty clean overall, especially for an old Japanese gatefold.)
OBI: excellent overall (small 2cm tear bottom left, clean.)
BAG: 13 inches x 16 inches, folded at the top. Inevitably, there is some creasing. There are also a couple of small tears / holes but it's still in pretty decent shape and clean. I'm guessing this bag was originally given away with the Madison and Burning Love albums.
I have several other Elvis items for sale here and more available at D i s c o g s (just type u:festive_road in the search field to find me on there).
