Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 EP release of ELVIS PRESLEY - Strictly Elvis released in the USA.
The record itself (EPA 994 dog on top) is in VERY GOOD+ condition with some light visible marks/scratches (none too deep) and retains some of it's natural sheen.(see photos)
The centre labels have NO WRITING but do have some ringwear!.(see photos)
This is the RARE issue WITHOUT Horizontal Silver Line.
This also has the added bonus of being a 1st pressing as indicated by the 1s in the trail off.
The THICK CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2012 as $40 in the condition it is in now (which i would say is ONLY VERY GOOD) for the sleeve alone!!!
This sleeve is in reasonable condition for the age. (see photos)
There are a few things that stop this from grading higher (hence the lower starting price)
There is a seam split along both the top and the bottom of the sleeve and writing and discolouration on the rear.
On the plus side the front of the cover is quite nice.
This is a really affordable collection filler until that MINT £95+ copy comes along.
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $65(£51+ approx) .
I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £52.
PLEASE REMEMBER OVERALL CONDITION IF / WHEN PLACING A BID AS THIS WILL ONLY SERVE AS AN AFFORDABLE COLLECTION FILLER UNTIL THAT BETTER RECORD AND SLEEVE COME ALONG!!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
