Elvis Presley Rare Unique Test pressing 45 Hound dog/ Jailhouse rock VG+
Elvis Presley
Hound dog/ Jailhouse rockThis rare and unusual 45 came from an old customer who had shopped with us for over 20 years. The majority of his collection was 50’s & 60’s artists and pressings. In amongst the singles I found this unusual item. A test pressing with no Cat. number or country of origin details. Runout grooves have Hound dog on one side and Jailhouse rock on the other. Both tracks in MONO. The record looks and feels like a 60’s pressing, sounds like the original recordings though I’m no Elvis expert. Not sure how the discolouration happened on the labels but assume originally they were white labels. Have found little information on Discogs or anywhere else regarding a single with these two tracks on it. Possibly an unortharised release, someone suggested an Asian Boot but really have no idea. Rarity, reissue or Bootleg this is still an interesting Elvis vinyl item.
Tracks: Hound dog/ Jailhouse rock.
B-side of label has some tiny surface tears and light marks. Record has some light scuff marks and very light scratches that cause some light crackles throughout. Plays in VG+ condition.
