Description
A rare & historic single. This is the first record by Elvis Presley commercially issued. This is #1 of 5 different SUN label singles recorded by Elvis and pressed by the Memphis, Tennessee regional up start label of Sam Phillips. He later sold the rights to RCA who then, with the help of Coronel Parker made Elvis the "King" of Rock & Roll. This particular copy ia a strong "VG" in grading. No major scratches that would result in a regular "click" every revolution of the single. It has the typical surface found on such an old 45 resulting in more of the slight 'hiss" sound. This IS an original press with the 3 "punch marks" under the label. The label is clean (see photo's) on both sides. The B-side does have a slight damage mark where one of those steel metal 45 inserts was not removed very carefully. All in all a very nice investment copy.
