This is the historic first RCA Victor edition of Elvis Presley’s debut single. Originally released on Sam Phillips’ Sun Records (Sun 209) in July 1954, this record is the spark that ignited the Rock and Roll revolution. In late 1955, after RCA purchased Elvis’s contract, they re-released his original five Sun singles to satisfy the growing national demand.
This 10-inch 78 RPM record features the legendary "That's All Right" on Side A and the rockabilly reimagining of Bill Monroe's "Blue Moon Of Kentucky" on Side B. It represents the very beginning of the King of Rock and Roll's meteoric rise.
💎 CONDITION shellac: excellent (E) sleeve: none 🧾 NOTES FOR COLLECTORS-
This is a First RCA Pressing from December 1955, identified by the "F2" prefix in the matrix (the "F" stands for 1955).
While original Sun pressings are the "holy grail," these first RCA reissues are historically vital as they were the versions that introduced Elvis to the masses. Finding these 78s without structural damage (cracks or heavy needle digs) is increasingly rare. The surface residue visible in photos is from a past cleaning attempt and may be improved with a professional, non-alcoholic deep clean. This copy features early stamper numbers (1S and 3S).
