Elvis Presley "The Best of Elvis" HMV 10" DLP1159 *RARE* vinyl
You are bidding on one of Elvis Presley’s most collectable records – "The Best of Elvis" the 10 inch LP released on HMV in 1957, catalogue number DLP1159. This was The King’s thrid UK album and was one of just a handful Elvis releases on His Master’s Voice before he switched record companies – it is a real rarity.
The condition of the record is very good. The vinyl is not mint, as it has a few scuffs and surface marks, yet it sounds and plays fantastically. The record is 47 years and the mono sound is a real blast.
The labels on both sides of the record are in fantastic condition (see photo) and the gold print can be read extremely clearly.
Overall the sleeve is very good condition. There are a few bits of cellotape repair to the spine which has been done extremely well and lovingly a few surface marks on the bottom left and rear right hand side (see photo). There is absolutely no writing anywhere on the sleeve.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get your hands on an extremely rare and much sought after album. It would make a fabulous Christmas present and is an absolute essential for any collector that will take pride of place in any record collection of the King of Rock n Roll.
