Elvis Presley A Touch of Gold 45-EP EPA-5088. This is from the RCA Gold Standard Series of releases and has the extremely rare maroon labels. Very few copies of the maroon were produced. In 1959 RCA ran out of the black blank labels on one run of this EP. As a result, they grabbed some of their classical maroon labels and produced a very small quantity of this extended play, creating a highly collectible record. Vinyl and labels are in VG+ to excellent condition. The cover however not so much as it has seam splits, tape on edge and is discolored/faded. I probably should grab a better cover off another copy but I prefer to ‘sell ‘em as I got ‘em’.

While Elvis was serving his country in Germany RCA Victor released "A Touch Of Gold - Volume 1". The EP was shipped on April 21, 1959 and moved 130,000 copies during its initial sales period. On June 29th it entered Billboard's "Best Selling EPs Chart", had a run of 28 weeks and peaked at number 1.
