ELVIS PRESLEY - “VIVA LAS VEGAS / WHAT'D I SAY” (47-8360) - AN ATTRACTIVE HOLLYWOOD PRESSING WITH RARE "ASK FOR" PICTURE SLEEVE!         RECORDS: VG+ on the upper end of the scale with clean, glossy surfaces. There are just a small number of light surface scuffs that should have no effect on the audible performance. This Hollywood pressing should play great! By now every collector is well aware that it is these Hollywood pressings that possess the most eye-appeal when it comes to the label design! The labels on this example are glossy and attractive, but do show minimal wear, including some light scuffing and fingerprinting. This million-selling hit single was released in April of 1964.   PICTURE SLEEVE:  VG with a paper pull on the "Viva Las Vegas" side, probably from a price sticker or a stray piece of tape (please see photos). While still viewing that side of the sleeve, there is a 2-inch split along the right-hand edge. A similar split is seen to the center of the bottom edge. Additional paper lift, probably from moisture, is observed between the "I" of "VIVA" and the "V" of "VEGAS" on the front. The "What'd I Say" side is much more attractive and presentable, showing just some light ring wear where the label area of the record would be inside. A good amount of wrinkling is noted, but no writing or staple holes are present. Definitely not Near Mint, but a decent space filler until that nicer copy comes along!
