Description

Up for auction is this rare radio station only promotional album, Elvis as Recorded at Madison Square Garden.  What makes this so collectible is that it came in a plain white gatefold sleeve with the track list and running times pasted onto the front of the jacket.  The regular RCA release came as a single album with regular jacket.
When it was discovered that the songs weren't banded (space between the songs) they made this double LP to get the full concert on it and banded each song to make it easier for DJ's to locate and play specific songs.  The labels are also white and clearly state "NOT FOR SALE."  
The good is that the records are in really nice shape with great gloss and minimal scuffing or scratching.  This is hard to find in a radio station promo copy.
The BAD!  The gatefold jacket is in poor to fair shape.  There are significant seam splits and show a lot of ring wear.  The buyer could probably tape the seam splits or find a way to remove the track list and re-paste it on a nicer jacket.
