Description
Elvis Presley milk cow blues boogie 10’’ accestate 1955.
This double sided 10" acetate, playable at 45 RPM, is on a black acetate recorded by Sam Phillips at the Sun studio on 10th December 1954. The final version was released on January 1955 on Sun Records 215. This acetate
It has 1 additional hole surrounding the spindle hole which would have been used to hold the acetate firmly in place and to prevent slippage during cutting at Sam Phillips’ Memphis Recording Studio.
The acetate contains 1 full length version of the final released version of Milkcow Blues Boogie on either side. There are also small sticker marks where a previous label may have possibly been.
The condition is consistent with an acetate of this age. There are several visible scratches on both sides and there is a significant amount of surface noise, however both sides play through without skipping.
This single is considered to be the rarest of the five Sun records, an original acetate considerably rarer.
