Description
This is the first record that elvis recorded with Sun records. It is # 209 and has the three push holes under the center paper. There are some scratches on the wax, however I have been able to play the record all the way through on both sides. There is the normal hiss which is associated with these records and also because of the scrathches there are a couple of pops, but again, I have been able to play the record all the way through on each side.
There also is wear on the center paper, but it is easy to read all of the writing on the paper. There also is a faede inscription of what appears to be the previous owners initials. I do not know if this can be removed or not and again, I have chosen not to attempt to clean this rare hard to find record.
It is obvious that this record has been played and enjoyed by the previous owner and it still has plenty of play left on it so that the person who wins the bidding will also be able to enjoy a young sounding Elvis Presley, or just admire this great piece of musical history.
All things considred, this is a great piece of history and a fantastic addition to any record collection. If not for my personnel health problems, I would not be offering this record for sale.
I would imagine that the record could be cleaned up some to look even better. But I chose not to attempt this as I am not a pro in that area and did not want to do any accidental damage to this rare record.
I welcome international bidders as well as national bidders. Of course the shipping and handling cost for international shipping will be more than if shipped here in the U.S. I also would suggest that the winner insure this record for shipping as once it leaves my possession I can not be responsible for the record. I also would apply tracking to the record if it would be shipped internationally. Any taxes or additional costs will be the responsibility of the winning bidder. Do not ask that any laws be broken regarding shipping as I do not allow that on any of my items that are shipped. and again any fees regarding taxes etc. are the responsibilty of the winning bidder.
So, this is a very rare and original Elvis Presley 45 Sun Record 209, one side thats all right which Elvis sang for his mother and the other side is Blue moon of Kentucky.
All things considered, this is certainly a must have for any collection.
