Description
This is an auction for a GREAT original copy of the 1965 release of Do The Clam / You'll Be Gone released in the USA.
The record itself (SS - 1534 )is in EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+ condition and retains a lot of it's natural sheen.
The labels are CRISP,CLEAN and have NO WRITING !!!. (see photos)
The Tri centre is still intact!!! ( a lot of these have been dinked out to make the record playable on a jukebox)
The record is also housed in a GREAT Japanese Generic RCA VICTOR sleeve.
The tri fold out picture/ lyric sleeve is The MUCH RARER and HARDER TO FIND sleeve of the 2 released for this release.
This sleeve is over 43 years old and contains some GREAT colour and Black and white images of both Elvis and some of the girls from Girl Happy.
The sleeve contains the lyrics for BOTH songs in Japanese and English.
There is NO WRITING on the sleeve!
The only thing that stops this from grading even higher is some age discolouration and a couple of small seam splits on the tri folds.(see photos)
That said this is really Great example of an Elvis Japanese release and one of the harder to find ones.
I have seen this go for as much as £82 !!!!!!!
